Bakala & the MJD Foundation

Bakala the Film is a project by the Machado Joseph Disease (MJD) Foundation for Bakala and other Aboriginal Australians living with Machado Joseph Disease in Arnhem Land and beyond. Delivering primary health and disability services in the remote communities in Arnhem Land is challenging and costly. The MJD Foundation focuses their efforts on supports for families living with MJD, as well as funding research to help Bakala and others find a treatment. Time is running out for Bakala who has been experiencing the degenerative effects of the disease since his late teens. The MJD Foundation needs your help to continue.
